Bethany Mullins Recognized During Annual Honors Day Awards at Bethany College

Bethany College awarded many of its exemplary students, faculty and staff with a variety of college-wide and departmental awards on April 12 during its annual Honors Day celebrations. The recipients, selected based on their demonstration of outstanding scholarship and other contributions to the College, were presented with their awards during the Honors Day Convocation held in Commencement Hall in Bethany's historic Old Main.

Bethany M. Mullins, a English major, received the Cammie Pendleton Award (Junior). Mullins, daughter of Amy Mullins, resides in Evanston, Ill.

The Cammie Pendleton Awards, named in honor of Miss A. Campbellina Pendleton, Professor of Language and Literature from 1884 to 1909, are presented to the outstanding sophomore and junior majoring in English. The awards are given by Dwight B. MacCormack Jr. of the Class of 1956 in memory of his grandmother, Dr. T. Marion MacCormack.

Bethany College is a small college of national distinction located on a picturesque and historic 1,300-acre campus in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Founded in 1840, Bethany is the state's oldest private college.
