Jayetee Strupe Recognized During Annual Honors Day Awards at Bethany College

Bethany College awarded many of its exemplary students, faculty and staff with a variety of college-wide and departmental awards on April 12 during its annual Honors Day celebrations. The recipients, selected based on their demonstration of outstanding scholarship and other contributions to the College, were presented with their awards during the Honors Day Convocation held in Commencement Hall in Bethany's historic Old Main.

Jayetee Strupe, a Accounting major, received the Forrest H. Kirkpatrick Award and the Korb Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. Strupe, daughter of Michelle Strupe, resides in Steubenville, Ohio.

The Forrest H. Kirkpatrick Award is presented annually to the outstanding major(s) in Economics. The award is named in honor of the late Dr. Kirkpatrick, long-time Professor and Dean of the College.

The Ernest L. and Dorothy Miller Korb Entrepreneurial Spirit Award is presented to the senior who best displays an entrepreneurial spirit and honors Ernest L. Korb and his wife, Dorothy Miller Korb, both graduates of Bethany College.

Bethany College is a small college of national distinction located on a picturesque and historic 1,300-acre campus in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Founded in 1840, Bethany is the state's oldest private college.
