2012 Apr 18

Bethany College awarded many of its exemplary students, faculty and staff with a variety of college-wide and departmental awards on April 12 during its annual Honors Day celebrations. The recipients, selected based on their demonstration of outstanding scholarship and other contributions to the College, were presented with their awards during the Honors Day Convocation held in Commencement Hall in Bethany's historic Old Main.

Patrick B. McGregor II, a Theatre major, received the A. Kenneth Stevenson Theatre Award and the Rush Carter Prize. McGregor II, son of Craig and Valerie Plessinger, resides in Westerville, Ohio.

The A. Kenneth Stevenson Theatre Award is presented each year to the outstanding Bethany junior or senior of any discipline who has contributed most significantly to the Bethany College Theatre activity.

The Rush Carter Prize in Music is presented to a member of the senior class in recognition of outstanding achievement in music. The prize honors the memory of the late Professor Carter, who was a member of the Bethany faculty from 1934 to 1945.
